Exploring the Path Less Traveled
In the realm of independent cinema, the journey from script to screen is often fraught with challenges and triumphs alike. As self-taught filmmakers, we've encountered our fair share of trials and tribulations along the way. From being unable to secure funding yet still assembling a dedicated team, every step of the process has been a lesson in perseverance and passion.
The Anatomy of Our Table Read
At the heart of our creative endeavor lies the table read—a pivotal moment where words leap off the page and into the realm of reality. It's during these intimate gatherings that characters come to life, dialogue finds its rhythm, and the essence of the story begins to take shape. Through multiple readings and rehearsals, we aim to refine our craft and breathe authenticity into every scene.
Our 5 page script consists of 3 parts.
Part 1 - Quincey and My Boy
Quincey is ready to start The Queue. He's waiting for the right opportunity and hopefully immediate support from someone around him. He meets with his friend, My Boy who he has confided in about his plans to start The Queue. Quincey knows My Boy supports him, but not in the way he truly needs.
Part 2 - Lionel & Bane
Lionel's uniquely supportive older brother, Bane, encourages him to get out and go find The Queue he's been dreaming of for his whole life.
Part 3 - Quincey & Lionel
The Search for the Queue has come to and end. Because it has finally begun.
